A French mid 19th century ormolu and cameo mounted trinket box, decorated in heavy rococo ornamentation done in high relief, consisting of ornate scrollwork, floral motifs as well as stylized acanthus leaves and having an escutcheon shaped lock with a large oval to the lid and six further smaller oval cameos to the box, with silk lined interior and the remains of a Paris retail label to underside, 15 cm wide, 9.9 cm deep, 10 cm in diameter
