A pair of figural roof tiles, Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), Modeled as two scholars wearing hats reflecting their office and status, dressed in long robes and standing on scrolling clouds, one holding a fan and the other beads, glazed in tones of aubergine, green and yellow. 43.5 and 44.5 cm high.
