A pair of ivory figures of an 'Emperor' and 'Empress', late 19th/20th century each standing wearing long wide-sleeved robes, hers decorated with phoenix, his with dragons, he holds a sword in his right hand and his left clasping a beaded necklace, his long hair surmounted by a dragon Crown and falling in a long plait, her hair drawn into a looped chignon pinned with a phoenix and holding a sceptre with long tasselled cords, wood stands (4) 30 cm and 33 cm Respectively
