A blue and white bowl, mark and period of Kangxi well potted with rounded sides springing from a short foot, the exterior painted with a frieze of scenes of figures in gardens and pavilions below a broad lozenge diaper border around the flared rim, the interior with a central medallion of boys at play and a further diaper border on the rim, the base inscribed with a six-character mark in underglaze blue within a double circle 20.
