An unusual George IV brass-inlaid rosewood secretaire book-case, 1820s, possibly with some later alteration, the upper part with a moulded cornice above a pair of glazed doors enclosing adjustable shelves, the projecting lower part with four short drawers above a hinged quarter-cylinder enclosing a sliding writing surface and candle slides, the inverted bowed knee-hole with a pair of cabinet doors flanked by turned and reeded half-columns with brass hairy paw feet, all panels with gadrooned edges.
