A Chinese brass-mounted Japanese porcelain tea pot, late 19th/early 20th century, the globular pot decorated to both sides with a scene of Japanese ladies in a garden, the Chinese brass handle, cover, spout, and other mounts cast with various symbolic creatures including a Buddhist dog finial, dragons, bats, and phoenixes, together with prosperity symbols, indistinct impressed Chinese character mark underside.
