A large Carlton Ware 'Mikado' bowl, second quarter 20th century, decoration pattern 4433, body shape 298 (largest size), the interior with the Chinoiserie landscape painted on a 'Rouge Royale' ground, elements of the design to the exterior, the rim exterior with the gilt 'Wagon-wheel' border and the rim interior with a foliate gilt border, the rim and foot gilt, printed marks underside. Height 11.5 cm. Diameter 26 cm.
