A Renaissance revival glazed stoneware 'majolica' vase, last quarter 19th century, probably German of squat baluster shape with a wide serpentine mouth and a pair of gryphon's head scrolling loop handles to the shoulder, on a raised serpentine foot, with moulded strap-work and foliate decoration throughout on textured grounds, glazed in greens and browns, the interior turquoise, impressed B222 underside. Height 28.5 cm.
