A 19th century Australian colonial cedar sideboard having a raised back with applied carving and shelf with turned supports, a moulded edge, central drawer of serpentine outline, below, two arched panel doors flanked by bobbin turned pilasters supported on plinth with turned feet. Bares paper label verso R Hyndes Cabinet maker, Upholster and Undertaker, High Street West Maitland. Provenance: Purchased from the brotherhood of St Lawrence in 1962 for 12 pounds, Australian. 170 cm high, 122 cm wide, 49 cm deep.
