An aubergine and green ‘Dragon' bowl, mark and period of Guangxu, the steep rounded sides springing from a straight foot to an everted rim, finely incised and enamelled in aubergine around the exterior with two dragons in pursuit of ‘Flaming pearls', among flames and cloud scrolls above a band of waves and rocks. All reserved on an emerald green ground, the interior and base glazed in white. Diameter 14.6 cm. Provenance: Sotheby's New York, 22nd
