A blue and white jar and cover, Kangxi period, of ovoid form, the sides painted on the exterior in bright cobalt with fan-shaped panels enclosing birds perched on blossoming prunus boughs, alternating with tall vases of flowers among precious objects, the shoulders encircled with a frieze of scattered flower-heads, below the narrow mouth, the domed cover encircled with a similar frieze around a floral medallion.
