A fine Regency rosewood veneer occasional table in the manner of John McLean, circa 1805, the rectangular top with rounded ends and finely pierced brass gallery and border, the frieze drawer with turned brass handles with opposing dummy drawer and boxwood stringing, raised on four simulated bamboo supports joined by similar cross stretchers and on downswept legs, 77 cm wide, 77 cm high, 42.5 cm deep. Provenance: Present owner purchased from Blairman in Mount Street, London and the table was exhibited at the Somerset House Art Treasures Exhibition 1979 exhibit no. F53.
