A Japanese earthenware koro, circular shape with two handles issuing from the shoulder raised on three mask feet and with pierced domed cover with a fu dog finial, the body decorated with four panels painted with figures in enamels and highlighted with gilt on a diaper pattern background. Marked underneath with Shimazu mon and two character signature. Small fault to finial. Height 18 cm
