A rare quality New Zealand carved and inlaid walking stick by Anton Teutenberg, the carved handle as the head of a tattooed Maori chief, pendant and adornment to his right ear, pronounced scrolls below the head, a shaped engraved band named 'K. Mckenzie' joins the shaft with fine linial full length bands of diamond, arrowhead and small square decoration in various New Zealand timbers, original tapered cylindrical brass capped and pinned end. Length 89.8 cm. Note: the head to the handle similar to that on the Seuffert made Burton and Mackelvie Trust cabinets of 1870 and 1871
