Impressive silver mounted emu egg presentation casket by William Edwards, with emus finial and grapevine handles having a parakeet and galah perched, above a crossed fern tree base, with an Aboriginal scene of a mother and child protecting her injured man from another bearing a spear (now lacking), the whole raised on a turned blackwood base with silver rim and feet, retailed by Walsh & Sons. marks: (emu) We (kangaroo)/ sterling silver and Walsh & Sons/ Melbourne ref: JBH109, 134.
