English silver sugar basket, with grapevine swing handle and Bristol blue glass liner, elaborately pierced and chased with exotic birds amongst branches forming a cartouche engraved with a crowned crest and military trophies. Marks: London c1853, maker: Dh.Ch. Height without handle: 11 cm weight without glass: 270 grams. Provenance: Private Collection.
