Impressive Colonial, themed silver plated centrepiece with Plateau, the centrepiece with foliage supporting three emu egg bowls and two central palm trees surmounted by an ostrich egg bowl, on a rocky moulded mirrored plateau having a kangaroo, emu and ostrich along the border, one rock face engraved with bird crest and dated 1884. marks: unmarked. Overall height: 57 cm. Provenance: Private Collection. Notes: Ostriches are native to Africa and were first farmed in South Australia in 1881
