Unusual Roseworthy Agricultural College silver desk set by Basse & Co, the back plate modelled as the collage facade above two glass inkwells and tiered pen rest, with central monogramme Mep 17-7-14, flanked by two handles and on pierced bracket feet, with timber loaded base. Notes: Roseworthy is Australia's first agricultural college formed in 1881, with construction commencing on the present building in 1883 and was completed by 1884, the monogram May relate to the first principal Professor Perkins, the collage, always intended to became part of Adelaide University, was annexed in 1990/91.
