Description:
Six West Australian Colonial jarrah dining chairs c.1880's, maker unknown with turned front legs, rail back construction, solid jarrah seats, with later modern upholstery nice old colour and patina. Height 81 cm. Note: these have early paper labels underneath the seats, 'Francis Armadale Via Jandakot', the owner recalls when these were purchased from an antique shop in north Fremantle, around 20 years ago, the dealer reported that these chairs had come from the estate of a retired Fremantle sea Captain, possibly Capt. George Francis.
