A parcel-gilt cast metal wine cooler in the Renaissance revival manner, late 19th century, probably French or Belgian, of squat cylindrical form with a spreading gadrooned rim and base, with a pair of scrolling handles and standing on four feet, the open-work body cast in relief with masks, birds, and foliate decoration, the handles and cover finial conforming, with a removable liner. Height 32 cm. Width 33 cm.
