A pair of Abalone shells engraved with portraits of Tsar Nicholas II and Tsarina Alexandra Feodorovna. Russian, circa 1900, the exterior of each with an oval cartouche cut to the centre and engraved with the portraits of the tsar and tsarina, and respectively with their names in English, 'Nicholas Ii' and 'Feodorovvna', the remainder of each exterior polished and cut with a conforming scrolling foliate border. Height 19.5 cm. Width 17 cm.
