A Chinese archaistic jade disc of bi form, of slightly irregular circular outline and piercing, both surfaces with wrythen fluting, of celadon tone with speckled black and russet at intervals to the rim indicating weathered rind and suggesting manufacture from a jade pebble. The current owner sought the opinion of Robert H. Ellsworth, the renowned New York specialist Oriental Arts dealer, who inspected the disc and attributed an age of Neolithic or Han dynasty to it.
