A c.1880's Japanese Choba Dansu (shop) chest of medium to small size with two vertical slatted doors enclosing a small drawer with a further secret compartment enclosed, all above two short drawers and a full width drawer below, original shaped steel lock plates and handles with flowerhead fittings, slats to the side, good original red/dark brown colour. 87.5 x 44.5 x 90 cm.
