An early Victorian ebonized, painted, and mother of pearl-inlaid Papier MACH' work table, circa 1840, the hinged rectangular top with wide moulded edge enclosing fitted compartments arranged around a covered well, on a shaped pedestal and concave-sided platform base with four scrolling feet with castors, the top with a painted and mother of pearl-inlaid floral centre-piece, gold and polychrome-painted and mother of pearl-inlaid scrolling foliate decoration throughout (some damage).
