Solomon Islands head hunting shell necklace, the necklace has two faces similar to the carved figures that were placed under the bow of war canoes. This necklace was used by local warriors when they travelled by canoe to other tribes to obtain heads It was collected in Santa Catalina in the 1920's by a missionary and brought to Europe
