Eero Aarnio, globe chair originally designed in 1963-1965, moulded fibreglass with reinforced polyester seating section on a painted aluminium base with internal black fabric covering foam upholstery. Diameter 99 cm at opening. This early example was manufactured under licence in Australia by McKay. Provenance: This example purchased privately from Ross Morrison and originally belonged to a Dunedin gentleman who held the New Zealand import licence for these chairs.
