Ernst Plischke pair of rare and important architecturally designed chairs and matching coffee table, the chairs constructed from New Zealand pine with original hessian webbing and canvas backs, complete with original foam squabs, the matching coffee table with integral magazine rack, circa 1955. This is the only known pair of chairs and matching coffee table to be offered on the open market. Similar chairs are illustrated in several 1950's architectural publications and a similar example, made from New Zealand pine illustrated in E.A Plischke on the human aspect in modern architecture by V.K Wedl, Austria 1969.
