King George V (1865-1936, King from 1910-36), signature 'George Ri' on 3-page letter on 'Balmoral Castle' letterhead dated 'Aug.26th 1928', to Mrs Fetherstonhaugh (wife of the King's racing manager), discussing her husband's recovery following an operation, and horse racing. Together with the original envelope in which letter was sent, with 'Official Paid/ Balmoral Castle' datestamp, and 'Balmoral Castle' registration label.
