Pickford, Ian, silver flatware, English Irish and Scottish 1660-1980, p143, f 220. 'Canova' pattern was first produced in about 1850 and exhibited Chawner & Co. At the great Exhibition in 1851, being based on Canova's 'Hebe', 'Sappho' and the 'Dancing girls Reposing'. It appears to have been produced only for dessert services and even these are very rare
