Christopher Dresser, Jardiniere, c. 1875, manufactured by Minton and Company, England; porcelain decorated with butterflies, plant forms and scrolling designs, gilt highlights, factory marks and date code to base, height 28 cm, diameter 27 cm. Only three of these jardinieres are known to exist. One example is in the British Museum with the foot replaced by a brass epergne base. Another was exhibited at the Fine art Society, London, 2003.
