A fine and rare Imperial Chinese gilt-bronze figure of Vajravidarana, Ming Dynasty, early 15th century, probably Xuande period, the jewelled and crowned Bodhisattva seated in full lotus posture on a double-lotus throne, the left hand holding a bell, the right hand in 'Contemplation' mudra, adorned with beaded necklaces, pendant earrings and bracelets, reign mark erased from the front of the throne, base plate missing.
