A Chinese hanging scroll, 17th century or earlier, depicting a bird and insects, exotic flowers and rocks, two red seals, Later inscription, old Japanese silk mount Provenance: Private Japanese collection *Accompanying certificate inscribed by Okura Kosai 1795-1862, authenticating the painting. He was a Kyoto born connoisseur of Ancient script. There is another authentication by Kano Naonobu on the lid of the storage box
