A Chinese blue and white dish, 1488-1505, Early Ming Dynasty, Hongzhi. Decorated in the centre with the 'three friends' in a stylized lotus pond, the cavetto with eight stylized lotus, divided by clouds and auspicious symbols, the exterior with eleven stylized islands between waves and a continuous lotus scrolls. 32.5 cm diameter, Jingdezhen kilns.
