Description:
A Chinese blue and white dish, early 16th century, Ming Dynasty. Painted with a central peony medallion, surrounded by flower heads, each within a shaped cartouche on a diaper ground, the outside cavetto with a continuous stylized floral scroll, good colour and glaze, Jingdezhen kilns. 31.5 cm diameter. Provenance: The Lena Shoal shipwreck, Philippines, 1997
