A Chinese blue and white dish, 1488-1505, Early Ming Dynasty, Hongzhi. Painted with a central floral medallion, surrounded by fruiting branches, each within a shaped cartouche on a diaper ground, the outside cavetto with a continuous stylized scroll of fruiting melon. 31.7 cm diameter, Jingdezhen kilns. Provenance: The Lena Shoal shipwreck, Philippines, 1997.
