A Chinese Recumbent Jade Water Buffalo, 14th/16th century, Yuan/Ming Dynasty. The well-polished oily black and celadon pebble heavily veined. The weight and the flat base suggest its use as a paperweight. 6.4 cm length. Provenance: Dr and Mrs Mourot Collection, Virginia, USA.
