A rare Chinese blue and white censor, late 15th century, early Ming Dynasty. Freely painted in grey/blue cobalt, with two scholars in a rural landscape, turning marks in the centre from the potters' wheel, base and interior unglazed. 8.5 cm high, 11.8 cm diameter.
