A fabulous large Chinese Ming blue and white fishbowl, 1522-1590, Jiajing/early Wanli period. Boldly painted with eight large geese flying above lotus, a band of eight peony flowers at the mouth, eight auspicious symbols on the flat rim, stylised waves above the unglazed base. 31 cm high, 50 cm diameter.
