An Australian cedar framed Masonic Memorial board in Honour of Major Percival Richard Comins (D. November 30, 1915), circa 1915-20 converted to a mirror, the tabernacle-style frame with a moulded break-front cornice incised with anthemia and mounted with a carved and pierced trailing foliate crest centred by an armorial shield painted with the Union Flag, the bevelled plate flanked by half-round columns with Aeolic capitals above a moulded base, with various gilt on black ground painted inscriptions above and below the plate: Citizens marine 5 Lodge (on a small tablet)/Our late/R[ight] W[orshipful] Bro[ther] Major P.R. Comins/P.S.G.W./Died on Active service/At Lemnos, 30-11-15./for King and Empire (followed with a Masonic device), 98 x 109 x 15 cm
