A cut brass and tortoiseshell inlaid bracket clock 18th century with a 19th century movement, the movement signed Boxell, Brighton with an associated late Victorian English triple fusee movement and French pillars on eight bells, the brass dial with enamelled Roman numerals, within a foliate cut brass inlaid and tortoiseshell veneered case, glazed to either side and applied with gilt bronze mounts and caryatids, surmounted by a figural gilt bronze figure of a bearded male holding a trident (the tines missing), raised on a bracket of conforming decoration, the clock 112.5 cm total height; the bracket 45 cm high.
