A rare miniature straw work bureau, circa 1800, the complex shaped writing box decorated to all exterior and interior surfaces with coloured straw laid down in multiple tessellated patterns, with fold down front revealing a series of drawers, above a roll top door revealing further fitted compartments and recessed stage with miniature centurion standing guard, the upper most configuration again revealing similar styled compartments, (restoration to decoration of roll top; curtains replaced; hairline to inner glass cover of one compartment), 35 cm wide.
