A Russian bone fretwork sewing box from Kholmogory, Archangel Province, 19th century, the rectangular box with a recessed lid topped by a large velvet pin cushion, the exterior set with bone veneer painted and fret work panels, internally a simple segmented compartment, 21.5 cm wide.
