An important Australian birds-eye huon pine half tester bed, Tasmania, circa 1873, the tester with a moulded cornice above a scalloped apron decorated with applied carved rosettes, above an upholstered back with drapes, the cartouche shaped foot board with 'Prince of Wales Feathers' carved in huon pine on wonderful birds-eye huon pine veneers and conforming rosette roundels, with Pierre Frey 'Nerval Jonquille' upholstery and curtains and 'Hermine Jonquille' bed cover, 175 cm wide, 205 cm deep, 252 cm high.
