An Australian full cedar sideboard, circa 1845, the triangular back with plain roundel decoration above a rectangular top with moulded edge above a central short drawer and arched apron, flanked by two deep drawers, one converted to a full front cabinet, raised on turned tapering legs, 192 cm wide, 67 cm deep, 130 cm high. Provenance: Believed to have been made for Miriam Wade Holmes of Oakendale, Glen oak in the hunter Region from cedar grown on the property. Miriam Wade Holmes arrived in Australia in the Elizabeth in 1829
