An heraldic exhibition chess set in European silver and silver plate in original presentation case, the hinged top, enamelled with a chequed board opening to reveal a fitted interior with thirty two pieces in the form of Chivalric knights, horsemen in uniforms reflecting their station, Norman castles and towers., the box cast with panels of knights, horses, shields and turrets accented with enamel, pearls, topaz and semi precious stones on four scrolled feet.
