An impressive half mounted bear skin, the head in full mount with open mouth showing teeth, complete with claws, the conforming red cloth fringing with hand stitched grey backing, complete with taxidermist's label for 'Tocher and Tocher Taxidermists, Frazer Town P.O., Bangalore - 5', this and the other four Tocher and Tocher items were shot by Irwin Douglas during a big game hunting expedition to India in 1953, they were all mounted by Tocher and Tocher of Bangalore who were considered among the world's best taxidermist at the time. 173 x 176 cm
