19th century Fijian club. Hardwood blade form with sawtooth shoulders and four groups of incised letters. Hilt of handle has annular grip incissions. Reputedly collected by Martin Burrell (of the vessel Sandfly) in 1893. Handling patination and some old losses. Length 74 cm
