A blue and white 'Dragon' bowl, Qing Dynasty, Kangxi period, well potted with steeply rounded sides rising from a straight foot, the exterior softly painted with a frieze of five coiled dragons pursuing flaming pearls, each differently positioned above a band of lotus scrolls, the interior centred with a similar dragon roundel within double line borders and encircled with a band of four striding dragons alternately looking forward and back below the rim, the base inscribed with an apocryphal six-character Chenghua mark within a double circle 19.
