A silver mounted emu egg presentation inkwell, Australian, possibly Kilpatrick & Co., circa 1880, with applied fern leaves and emu finial, the body with a shield inscribed 'Presented to Mr. James Ewins for his services in connection with the establishment of the Burnley Street Railway station East Richmond, 18th Novr., 1880', on a hardwood stand, together with a glass dome and ebonised circular socle (2) 22 cm high
