An English silver wine jug with a New Zealand presentation Inscription, Samuel Hayne and Dudley Cater, London, 1858, the ewer shaped body profusely chased and embossed with arguably 'Moa' birds, amongst tree ferns, palm trees and long grasses, within scrolling borders, inscribed 'Presented by J. E. Featherston Esq, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington New Zealand to C. W Schulz Esq J. P., who on several occasions acted as Deputy Superintendent', with double scroll handle 904gms, 38 cm high
